Hi, StackCash - There are a couple of points to consider. The first is that it's designed not to charge if the battery already has a high state of charge. That's part of the automatic battery conditioning the tablet does and is not a sign that anything is wrong. Just use the tablet some and it should begin to charge. (Please stick with the stock charger and cable for now.)

The second point is that some folks have found that when the battery gets very low, sometimes the tablet misinterprets the battery condition and prevents charge from happening. One way to deal with this is to do a very long press of the power button - maybe two minutes or so - and then hook the charger up and leave it for one hour, whether it's showing the charge light or not. Then do a "shorter" long press, about ten seconds, to restart the device. The Dell logo showing is the indication that it's recovered.

And for your information, the front LED beside the camera flashes once to indicate power state changes. If you see it flash, the tablet thinks it's going from off to on and is going to start.

Let us know what you find out, and if this doesn't get you up and going, provide details of what's going on. Good luck.
