Venue 8 3830 Vudo update not playing

I have Vudo on my Venue, Vudo is a buy movie & rental app. The android system said my Vudo app needed updating. I updated & now my movies I had bought won't play, sound will come on , with snowy vertical lines in the play back & all I see is a snowy screen.I can still play trailers just fine. I've sent 2 emails to vudo about this with no response. Can anyone help with this problem ?
