connect a 3g dongle to dell streak 7 wifi only
Hi..
i just bought a dell streak 7 wifi version online (actually the seller gave me a wifi version but what i want is the 3g version). I was wondering whether we can connect a broadband to the tablet. I tried searching under setting, but there is no network setting so no where to put the apn. Has anyone tried connecting a bb to this tablet.
tq.

It isn't possible. Not without re-writing the kernel and adding in the appropriate drivers and than having Dell change the cable standards to something more usable.

I agree. If you have such router device, you can use it and be able to connect online. The bad news is that you still have to buy this somewhere.

yes that the drawback with the router option :( but if you already have a windows pc with wifi, quite a few the 3rd party virtual router programs ect are free :) , ive only tried one which its name i cannot remember? however it worked flawlessley in a wifi enabled notebook with the usb data dongle plugged in for sharing the internet connection via wifi :)

Thanks for the replies.. right now i'm using connectify to make my laptop into a wifi hotspot. it works. it's just that i was thinking when i don't want to bring my laptop along and want to connect directly the dongle to the tablet is it possible? has anyone try using the OTG usb with a female head or something like that to connect the dongle to the tablet.. Thanks again...
