Linux/ESX not able to see lun 0
is there any setting on host which will prevent it to see LUN 0?

I'm not sure I understand your question: do you want to hide LUN 0? Or is your LUN 0 device hidden but other LUN X devices are visible and you are unsure why?

yes, question is, LUN 0 device hidden but other LUN X devices are visible and unsure why?
generally VMAX start with LUN-1 so never faced this issue but VPLEX started with lun 0 and OS not able to see LUN 0.
