SRDF Asynchronous Connectivity issue
Hi Team,
The data is not replicating to the remote storage. it seems connectivity issue . it was replicating find before.
checked both the LUN space and it has enough free space.
Zoning also is fine.
please help me the the steps to troubleshoot this connectivity issue inorder to do sucessful replication

First time i am doing this. i checked the zoning and its perfect.
i think i have to ping from srdf local port ip to srdf remote port ip.
please help how to do other checks for this issue.

Did you tried ping command from cli ?
symrdf ping -sid xxxx
and you should get the output as , "successfully pinged (Remotely) Symmetrix ID: 000xxxxxxxxxx
It was syncing before? if yes query to check the status of srdf.

I believe you can't troubleshoot with unisphere or smc.
Please proceed with Resume command. Tracks will start to sync.
issue might be with the network drop. hope DSE was not configured
To avoid this kind of issue when there is a network drop, please configure DSE.
Refer EMC article for further details of DSE

link is working fine .
please let know if you have any troubleshooting steps whcih can be done using unisphere or SMC.
its a testing device. replication stopped few hours before. some invalid tracks are there to be replicated.

From Network perspective check there should not be any issues.
Is the link is stable?
how many tracks have been showing as invalids?
how long this SRDF has been suspended?
Is there any network maintenance done in past 2days?
Do you have any SR opened for this issue?

Please let know how to check the DSE pool has free space or not in SMC or Unisphere?
please let know how to check the transmit idle or cache space is free or not in smc and unisphere?

1.Select the Symmetrix system.
2.Select Data Protection > Replication Groups and Pools > SRDF/A DSE Pools to open the SRDF/A DSE Pools list view.
3.Select the pool and click View Details to open its Details view.
4.Use the SRDF/A DSE Pool Details view to display and manage a TimeFinder/Snap pool. It contains Properties Performance Views, and Related Objects panels.
