VMAX 10K Multiple VMware Clusters (consolidation)

I have two VMware clusters today:

CLUSTERA

     DEV1 - Recoverpoint Tagged (VMWARE LUN A)

     DEV2 - Recoverpoint Tagged (VMWARE LUN B)

     DEV3 - Recoverpoint Tagged (VMWARE LUN C)

CLUSTERB

     DEV4 - Recoverpoint Tagged (VMWARE LUN A)

     DEV5 - Recoverpoint Tagged (VMWARE LUN B)

     DEV6 - Recoverpoint Tagged (VMWARE LUN D)

I'd like to collapse the two clusters, but the problem I'm having is I cant present all the devices to the combined set of hosts without having inconsistent lun issues.  I'm just looking for feedback on ways to solve the problem, i believe my only solution will involve:

1)  shutdown all vm's on device

2)  untag device for recoverpoint

3)  remove device from current SG

4)  place devce in new SG

5)  tag for recoverpoint

6)  rescan hosts

Does that sounds somewhat accurate?
