Is VAAI and CX4 functional with vSphere 5 ?
All
After upgrading to vSphere 5, hardware acceleration status in vCenter displays unavailable for CX4 storage.
Is VAAI on vSphere 5 not supported for CX4, or is some kind of patch reqiored?

Dont forget that CX4 and VMWare 4.1 had 3 primitives whereas ESX5 has 5 primitives (I believe) - you might need to switch off the ones that are not supported on CX4

No need - vSphere 5 will detect which primitives are available on accessible arrays, and not use the ones which are not available. Totally automatic.

Dynamox.
Actually the system is running with a combination of failover mode 1 and failover mode 5 ( what is failover mode 5?)
I wil change the settings and get back with the result..
Correction
After upgrading my USM, failover mode shows up as 4, as supposed.
I have opened a SR at EMC support, and will update the thread whaen a solution has been provided.
