Event Number 820

Its "Soft Media Error" you have to get in touch with support team to get the SP collects reviewed...

Hi Javier, wouldn't replace disks because 820 code without checking if its necessary, I normally wait for the disk to fail (orange light).

Now if there is too many events/errors sent by system you might want to have EMC to check the Spcollect.

The following criteria might be used by EMC when reviewing the spcollects:

• There have been three media errors in two consecutive days within the last 30 days; or There have been
• 10 media errors in one week, within the last 30 days; or
• There have been 30 media errors in one month, within the last 30 days
• At least one media error within the last 14 days
• Any drive that has run without media errors for the last 14 days is not a candidate for proactive replacement.
• All the Errors should be in the same disk.

Check if your OE (Flare) is up to date and if the disks need a firmware update, that will reduce the amount of messages and disk replacements.
