How to change DNS entry for block only arrays

Jump to solution

Hello

Our network team is changing our DNS servers. Most of what we have is IP based, but the host name entries for the SP are in our DNS servers as well.

How do I update the DNS entries for block only VNX 5700 arrays?

Thanks in advance,

You should find what you are looking for in Unisphere. Select the array, then select Network Settings under Settings from the top toolbar.

Thank you,

I did that, and nothing is listed in the box(in other it's blank), unlike my unified storage arrays which have the DNS hosts listed. So I guess this means we did not configure it. I should probably just leave it alone then, correct?

I tend to agree. They probably just built static entries based on the name and IP for each SP. Unless those are changing, then the network team working with the DNS just needs to make sure that the entries get transferred.

Thank you, the names are not changing or the ips. I will make sure the current values get transferred.

Thanks again!
