KB476599 - VNX, VNXe: A single disk array enclosure power supply fuse failure may lead to a disk array enclosure shutdown. Someone did the procedure?

Hi there, in the procedure step 2 they tell do:

2.- Select Software > System Software > Prepare for Installation (Step 1) and follow the wizard, but there you have 3 options:

a- VNX OE Installation

b- VNX OE for File Installation

c- VNX OE for Block and/or Enabler Installation

If the system is Unified which it the correct option, because in Step 3:

3.- Select Install Software (Step 2) in USM and click Next and follow the steps in the wizard.... you have the same options and if you select Install VNX OE it ask for the image..... .upg or if you select Install VNX OE for Block and/or Enabler it fails with event number 0x71518014

Any thought, someone in EMC could fix the KB info to include the missing selecting step.

Hello Alvaro,

I tried loading the CDES 1.55 on one of the unified arrays in our lab. I was able to load it on a VNX5800 unified system and I selected option c in step 2 and in step 3 Install software (step 2 in USM) I again selected option 3 that is Install VNX OE for Block and /or enablers. I was able to upgrade without any issues.

I will get the KB updated to reflect this for Unified systems.
