How to create an alert of a port status change?
How can i create an email alert of a status change of f.e. an FC port in a Cisco MDS switch? So only sent an email notification once when a port goes into a link failure.

I am running version EMC M&R v6.5u1 - 54340 and there appears to be a precanned alert for what you are looking for. See below.

Thanks, but does this not create an alert every poll-cycle and not just once? Thought i should make a comparisation with the previous link status?
