Vipr SRM - How to set custome names?
Hi there,
does anyone know how to define custome names in ViPR SRM? We have several "cryptic" names for e.g. our SAN-Fabric (Brocade) based on Principal Switch WWN and want to change this in "SAN Fabric 1".

Hi Markus,
There a two quick methods to add custom data to SRM which are Data Enrichment or Groups Management. These allow custom tagging to add fields with customization to be associated to objects specified in the matching criteria. This would allow you add enrichment of the incoming raw data and then use that enrichment in the SRM reports by adding an additional column with the new data that was tagged to the raw data. The ViPR SRM Online Help has information on both features (Group Management is more user friendly and based on "rules" that you would create - the Data Enrichment is more complex and uses keys to properties for the data tagging).
