IE aborts when a Google ad sense ad is encountered.

IE will load a partial web page and stop at the first Google Asense ad.
FireFox  - Redirected links, Advertising Pop-Ups

IE
Site #1) will load first portion of page up to and including an Amazon ad widget  and stop at a Google Adsense ad.
Site #2) an IE error message is displayed after the first portion of the page is loaded and just before a Google Adsense ad is loaded.  “Internet Explorer cannot open Internet site hxxp://spider cards.com. Operation is aborted.”
Site #3) Ford.com with no Google Adsense ad is loaded Okay. Navigation within Ford.com appears normal.

Firefox
Firefox will load the web pages but when you click on a link you not only go to the desired web page but you also are directed to an additional web page. Once on your desired page, pop-ups occur at random times.


History:
April 1 I encountered a virus (using SUPERAntiSpyware). I couldn’t shake it using Malwarebytes. I decided to restore my Acer Aspire 5570z to factory settings. As a free copy of Norton comes with each “new” Acer, I decided to load Norton updates and I am now using Norton. I’ve loaded drivers and software. I scanned my files with Norton before loading them. Everything was fine until I began researching more info on browser hackers. (My mother living out of state can’t change her homepage.) I think I picked up a virus in my research. I am thinking Norton is not all that great.

I ran Norton’s Power Eraser and it returned 2 possible threats. Both applications I use on a regular basis.
1. My Free website builder. Last updated 3-3-11
2. Market Samurai.  last updated 4-5-11

 I reinstalled SUPERAntiSpyware and ran scans with no results.

Meanwhile another pc using the same router and IP address is in the shop because a virus caused a complete melt down a few weeks before.

Going back more than a month… the router (furnished by Comcast) was replaced because emails sent to Cox and Qwest customers were not receiving their emails. The new router an subsequent new IP address solved that problem. My research has found that hackers may target certain IP addresses. If so, do I heed to changed my IP again?
