MalwareBytes extension for Firefox

With little fanfare, it seems MalwareBytes is now BETA-testing an extension for FF... it's available from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/malwarebytes/

By description, it should function similarly to WOT (SiteAdvisor, &etc).   Only time/testing will tell how effective it is, especially in comparison to WOT and other such add-ons.

This add-on can work with FF, even for people who don't use MBAM PRO.

[ I'm assuming people who use MBAM PRO don't need this add-on??? ]

For more information, see https://www.ghacks.net/2018/01/13/malwarebytes-for-firefox-extension/

Free Internet Security - WOT Web of Trust       Use OpenDNS       MalwareBytes Anti-Malware

Windows 7 Pro SP1 (64-bit), avast! v17 Free, MBAM Pro, Windows Firewall, OpenDNS Family Shield, SpywareBlaster, MVPS HOSTS file, MBAE Premium, MCShield, WinPatrol PLUS, SAS (on-demand scanner), Zemana AntiLogger Free, IE11 & Firefox (both using WOT [IE set to WARN, FF set to BLOCK]), uBlock Origin, CryptoPrevent, Secunia PSI.

[I believe computer-users who sandbox (Sandboxie) are acting prudently.]

Re: MalwareBytes extension for Firefox

I want to stress/reemphasize this is (still) a BETA product.   Understandably, people are reporting False Positives (and perhaps other issues).   If you decide to test it, PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
