What to do after going to Win 10 from 8.1

What should be done with these partitions on the internal hard drive:

ESP (FAT32)

DIAGS (FAT32)

UNFORMATED (128 mb)

WIRETOOLS (NTFS)

PBR (NTFS)

What should be done if anything?

How should it be done safely?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to us!

Kindly do a complete format and use 1 file format to install the operating system.

Thanks

Robin

So that I understand this correctly.

You are saying before upgrading from 8.1 to 10 I should reformat the hard drive to one partition. it I do this how can I then upgrade from 8.1 to 10 if the hard drive has been reformatted.

I'm no expert, but I REALLY don't think you want to reformat the drive BEFORE doing the upgrade!

Perhaps the person that responded misunderstood your original question?

You would loose your current installation/files and the upgrade would not work, as there would no longer be an OS to upgrade (8.1).

There are many posts on what those various partitions are, what to do about them in various situations (if anything).

I would suggest more research.
