If it is not certified as compatible with Windows 11 now, it never will be. This post by the moderator clearly spells it out. Now you can install Windows 11 on your system, but Dell will not be supplying drivers. You would have to seek them on the web sites of the various hardware manufacturers and Windows 11 will install drivers that are compatible but possibly not all you require.

11 works fine on unsupported models. including ancient models like 2006 optiplex GX620 with pentium D 915 to 960 series.

Not supported does not mean not working for 10 or 11.  Dell only supports the OS that shipped with your model.

Download the Win11 ISO

https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 and use rufus 3.18  installs and works fine despite what others are saying. Windows vista or 7 or 8 drivers work fine with 10 or 11.

bypass of Windows 11 restrictions for in-place upgrades

Windows 11 "Extended" installation support
(removes CPU, TPM/Secure Boot/RAM requirements)

@speedstep I completely agree and I have been making a point of letting users know that they can install Windows 11 on unsupported systems. I downloaded the media creation tool from the Windows 11 download page and successfully installed it on my Latitude E5430. Even MS has posted the methods to install on unsupported hardware which seems rather hypocritical to me.

The main point being not supported does not mean not working.

You WILL want a WIN10 DVD from newegg so that you can install and recover after 10 is gone forever like XP VISTA 7 8 is now.

newegg win 10 DVD  no  key N82E16832350238

Once these are sold out they will NEVER be available again.  DVD's don't detrap like usb flash does so they are forever disks.

You can technically install the drivers built for Windows 10 since it is pretty much just a reskin. Companies can say whatever they want, but know there is a way.
