Inspiron 530 Upgrade to Window 8.1
I am trying to upgrade to Windows 8.1 I keep receiving a notice that I need to have Windows 7 first.
Is there any way around this. I only have the disk for Windows 8.
Will my Inspiron 530 be able to handle it?
I am new at this. Thanks for your help.

The Inspiron 530 should run Windows 10 64 Bit without any issues... It should have shipped with Windows Vista however and not Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. You should not have a notice about Windows 7? Do you have a Retail Windows 8 Pro key?

My system originally came with Windows Visa Basic. In order to upgrade to will I need to add memory to my machine. It has 2GB or can I just download the program? and yes it does have a Pro Key. I have an external hard drive with 1 tb.
