Forgot Admin password.
Hi,
I fogrot my Admin password for my son's computer. I didn't create a password recovery disc. I am the only user with admin. privileges. It's been over a month now so I am giving up on trying to remember the password. This be the lesson to me. Can anyone tell me what is the best, easiest way to resolve this?
It's an Inspiron 530 Window Vista home premium 32 bit servie pk 2. Thanks in advance.

Did you actually create a password for Admin? That is not the same as password you created for the user account. The factory set password is null or blank. Try just pressing Enter when asked for a password. It could work.

Hi Mary,
I guess I never created a password for "Admin" account. Does Vista have a built in admin account like XP? Can you tell me how to access? I don't see it anywhere. I was refering to my accout created with admin status in my post. If vista has an admin account, can I then use that account to reset my password?
