Latitude e6320 reinstalling win 7 results in freezes and bluescreens

Hello,

I recently acquired a latitude e6320 without a WIN7 os. I tried to install it but this results in bluescreens and freezes (mostly within a few minutes).

I tested the hardware with the available DELL test procedures in bios: no hardware problems reported.

I figure this must be a driver problem. I downloaded and installed all the drivers that are indicated with my service tag: this did not help yet.

As crashes also occur when "windows update" is ran, I keep having a lot of windows update files that I cannot download in time before the system crashes.

In the system file I see the following exclamation marks:

  • Broadom USH
  • Broadcom USH/Swipe
  • SM Bus Controller

Installing both the chipset and the swipe - drivers did not (yet) take these away.

What can I do??? I hope someone has a clue...

Thanks in advance,

Hans
