More Fun with MediaDirect 4.0 / Not Really!

After being suckered into updating my current version of MediaDirect 4.0.5506 (BD ver. 4.0.5722) by the update feature, instead of giving me a new update, for some reason I received an older digitally signed ‘MediaDirect_4’ update from June 30th, 2008, ver. 4.0.4213 (BD ver. 4.0.4226). Needless to say, none of my blu-ray discs agreed with this change, and MediaDirect again prompt me to upgrade to another digitally signed ‘Dell_Patch’ from October 20, 2008, ver. 4.0.4620 (BD ver. 4.0.4620), which was still not better than what I had when these updates started.

MediaDirect  then prompted me again for another update and it installed digitally signed ‘MediaDirect4-7’ from November 10, 2008, ver. 4.0.4707 (BD ver. 4.0.4620), but, after that, it installed the older digitally signed update ‘MediaDirect_4’ from June 30, 2008 all over again! And it continues prompting me to update all these older digitally signed patches in a constant, never-ending loop! I never get past the ‘MediaDirect4-7’ update from November 10, 2008!

I have completely uninstalled MediaDirect 4.0, cleared the hard drive and registry of any lingering reference, and re-installed MediaDirect 4.0 back on my Dell 1735 Studio Laptop with Vista x86, but I still end up in that endless update loop. There has to be something wrong with the ftp://update.cyberlink.com update server that It persists in giving me the wrong update file to download and install.

Does anyone know of where I can find any credible link for the latest version of MediaDirect 4.0 that I can install?
