My Documents Folder

Selling an old Dell Dimension 4600C with Windows XP. Is there a way to remove my name off my documents folder and put in the new owners name? What I mean is it list (example) Joe's documents. Need to change that to say Jane's documents. How would you do this? You cannot rename the folder.

Create a new User (with the buyer's name). That will set up the buyer with the appropriate folders. Then, log into the new account, and from the User Accounts section in Control Panel, delete your current account. You will be given the option to delete all of your documents as well.

Thanks, will try that. But, all I have is my name as the administrator under accounts. Will this allow the new buyer to become the new administrator also?

When you create the new account, make sure that you create the account as an administrator account.
