If you want to upgrade the processor, you need to buy a new laptop only as the current motherboard doesn't support the 4th generation Intel Core processors. Unlike desktops, laptops doesn't have the option to change the motherboard as motherboards are designed specifically for a particular model (chassis) and can't be replaced to another laptop.
