- Double-click the Local Settings folder. (This folder is not here in Vista)
- Double-click the Application Data folder. (There is a folder labeled App. Data)
- Double-click the Broderbund Software folder. (This folder does not exist)
- Double-click the Print folder. (Since the previous folder is missing so is this one)
- Right-click the PrintMaster folder and choose Delete from the menu that appears. (I can find both of these folders on my pc, I just can't go and start deleting what ever comes up in a search.)
- Click Yes if prompted to move any files to the Recycle Bin.
- Close all open windows and restart the computer.
- Launch and use the program.
I understand the purpose of these instructions. They are to remove a file in my user folder. Since the steps are going to be different how can I find the right flie so I can use this program. I have even thought of trying to install the program as an older version of windows. I have never done this but I'm sure it would install properly. This however would not solve the problem of the fix as it is done in windows not the program itself.
I hope someone can help me with this. I am really starting to regret getting Vista. I have only had this XPS 420 a week and already I have printers that won't work, hardware that won't work, programs and drivers that won't work. Makes me thing of all the "MAC" adds. LOL.
