Unable to load Software

Aloha,

Okay in a nut shell, the install utility for netgear wireless rangemax card won't install properly. I also tried a linksys card and USB adapter...no luck.

Funny thing is Instead of the "/" for all drives and files, it's been replaced with a Japanese yen symbol (a Y with two horizontal lines crossing the leg). Not sure how this happended. My wife is using a Dell Inspiron 600m, Celeron processor with 512Mb RAM, with XP OS. She is using the Windows office and explorer language packs for Japanese. The Sony VIAO I'm using with the Linksys is working fine, PIII w/XP 512Mb RAM.

Removed the Language packs from the 600m, but no luck.
