Why is "Dell System Software" not available in Windows 7?

My system in a Studio XPS 1340 and got the free upgrade DVD to Win 7 from Win Vista. I would like to "clean install" the operating system and in the "manual installation" instructions there is an important recomendation: install the DSS first, but there isn't any in the drivers page at Dell... It is actually available for Win Vista, but not Win 7... why is this so?
