Windows Xp Home Edition SP1

Hi. I have the following problem. My Dell Dimension 8300 computers motherboard died so I decided to buy a new non-Dell computer without a operating system because I was just going to use the Windows xp system that came with my Dell Dimension 8300 to install it. But since It's OEM, will it work on the new system? Do I need a new license for it to work? I haven't received my new computer so I haven't tried it out yet but maybe somebody can help me that knows whether it will work or not, and what needs to be done.

Hi rocketman1234, OEM OP system software is only licensed to the computer it is shiped with, were retail OP system software can be moved from one computer to another. If that is an retail mobo, then it wont have an Dell BIOS, so Dell OEM software will not work.
