Can't log in as root to R50L
Can't log in as root to R50L
hi All,
i need help on how to log in as a root.
i was connected with admin, at the control panel changed root password
and loged out
when i tried to log in with root and the password i set, i got the following message:
"System administrator is not alowed to log in."
The problem is that I need to be able to connect with root in order to install an add on which will be available to all users,
in order to do so the installation will create sumbolic link
however with admin i don't have permission to create symbolic link, i need root permissions.

you can only log into room from SSH, not from the UI. Keep in mind that Wyse's SUSE leverages a read-only filesystem (squashFS) so any changes you make will likely not persist after a reboot unless you correctly create a squashRPM for the filesystem. I recommend reaching out the your Wyse SE and he/she may be able to provide you details on how to create your own add-on that will persist in the secured OS.
