Worker exited with status 1

I am using a Wyse C50LE and I am trying to update the machine to the most recent version of VMWare. I am doing this using an FTP server (please forgive me if I get some of this wrong, I am new to the position here and I am still trying to wrap my head around all this virtual machinery). The thin client appears to pull the image needed, but gets stuck at the log in screen for the machine itself, not the VMWare. I try to log in using the user name and password, but when I do this I get the error message:

"Worker exited with status 1"

And then it goes back to the log in screen for the thin client. The only other odd thing I have noticed is that the date and time are wrong. I am not sure how to adjust the date and time on a thin client, or even if that would help the situation. I have other machines that have no problem connecting and getting all the needed updates.

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.
