Remote Shadowing
Remote Shadowing
Hi all
Searched and couldn't find the answer so here goes.
I've set this up and can connect with no issues to my laptop from my iPhone from any internet connection.
When I connect I log the laptop out, when the user logs back in it kills my connection. Can I set up a VNC connection so I can have a simultaneous connection running as view-only or full access.
I have installed a VNC client (ultraVNC) and I now have 2 discovered connections, remote desktop and remote shadowing (VNC).
When I try and connect to the VNC I get "could not connect to server"
I've tried a few things and am lost in clients and servers..
Can anyone help?

Ok....So I managed to figure this out. I just changed some settings on the VNC client, restarted the machine and it all looks to be working.
I do have one more problem though:
When using VNC, starting from the lock screen I get kicked out when I try and log in, I'm assuming it's because the VNC client restarts or shuts down, is there anyway to stop this behaviour?

Could you try using TightVNC? We have that working in our labs for the use case you outline.
