Scheduled Task Restart, device restarts randomly

We have installed a lot of these devices and are getting the low memory issue. We have determined that the cause of this for us is that the devices we have with an auto login are not being rebooted. The other devices we just changed the shutdown/log off button to be restart by default to trick the end users into actually rebooting every once in a while.
The scheduled task is how we deal with our kiosk PCs, but when we use it on the thin clients they start restarting randomly. My guess is it has something to do with the write protection, kind of like the issue with losing trust to the domain. The issue will not start occurring till the scheduled task runs for the first time.
Any suggestions or thoughts are be greatly appreciated.
