XPS 8300, dual gpu setup, PCIe x16 riser card?
I have a Dell XPS 8300 and two GTX 1050 Ti sitting around and was wondering if this PowerEdge M610x PCIe x16 riser card would work to use both at once? Using this either just have 1 run main monitor and 1 run side monitors or with the slowly growing list of dx12 multi gpu supported games.

There are X1 to X16 riser cable configurations that have extra power link to accommodate 75W but non SLI chipset wont support multi gpu especially when the GPU does not support CROSSFIRE ATI or SLI Nvidia.
Damage to the motherboard can happen when you do this sort of thing. NVIDIA is no longer supporting SLI and will not write drivers for new cards to support it.

sounds complicated, ? physically and electrically doable? why not get a an aftermarket Sandy bridge board w/ >1 PCIex16 slots SLI.

bcus this is only $13 i dont think its worth the extra performance to buy a new mobo(to clarify i got the 1050ti's for free otherwise i would just get a 1070)

What size PSU in the XPS 8300?
What size PSU is required for these cards, especially if you want to run two of them?
Do they each require a 6-pin PCI-e power connector from the PSU?
I doubt the PSU in your XPS 8300 has even one PCI-e power connector
What version of Windows is running on the XPS 8300?
Are these cards compatible with that version of Windows, and have drivers?
Do you know if these cards work with an old, non-UEFI BIOS?
I'd test one of them before doing anything else.
Assuming it works, it likely supports more than one monitor, possibly up to 4, as long as the card and monitors have the right ports. And you could always get a USB>video dongle (eg, USB>HDMI) for a monitor.

psu is corsair cx500 which has 2 6pin connectors
running windows10
as far as i can tell the only limitation is with legacy bios it wont take any newer then pascal gpus
i havent gotten the gpus yet but will test when i do
psu usage is 75w per gpu

If each 1050ti needs 75w, but the single PCIex16 slot on motherboard can only supply 75w, is that not a problem?
