XPS 8900, add extra 500GB SSD

My plan is to add an extra 500GB SSD to my XPS 8900 and transfer Windows 10 to the SSD. I'm going to use the current 2TB HDD for data storage only. My question is: do I need to remove the 32GB SSD Cache which accelerates the HDD?

Fitting the Windows partition should be fine but there are some other small partitions that may also need to be cloned since this is a boot drive.

I think I would remove the 32 GB cache SSD by entering Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) and disabling cache/acceleration. Then I would reboot, and in the BIOS I would switch SATA mode from RAID to AHCI then I would reboot and clone the HDD to the new SSD assuming you can delete enough data on the HDD to fit otherwise you may have to re-install the OS to the SSD.

Thank you for the advice! My Windows system is on a 300 GB partition of the HDD, so I think I can clone that onto the SSD, right?
