XPS 8920 Freezes when hard drive spins up
I installed a M.2 SSD in to my XPS 8920 and it runs much faster. However, when it accesses a SATA drive (usually at random and I can tell because I hear a drive spin up), the system hangs up, then I get a message asking "Which device did you plug in?" and the machine goes back to normal.

If I'm playing music, the music slows down but doesn't stop until I get the popup. I have this problem whether I'm using audio or not.
I have tried swapping speaker sets, but that hasn't helped. Any ideas what to try next?

I assume that the M.2 SSD did not come with your XPS 8920 but was installed later, that it is also your boot drive, and that the XPS 8920 came originally with the SATA HDD. Is this true? Did you reinitialize the HDD after you installed the operating system on the M.2 SSD? What happens if you disconnect the HDD?
