XPS 8930, availability of an SSD in a customized
I am trying to customize the Dell XPS 8930 and I find not option for either selecting a Solid State Drive (SSD) or unselecting a SSD. The baseline write up for the computer does not seem to mention an SSD; while I have seen retailers list the 8930 with a 256 GB SSD. Please reply indicating whether the baseline 8930 1) has an SSD and it is not de-selectable while customizing or 2) does not have an SSD and it is not selectable while customizing.

This forum section is for existing users with hardware problems and manned primarily by users, with a Dell Moderator. As users, we mostly only have access to the same info you do.
A call or on line chat to sales should answer your questions.
One note, some retailers get special production models (options) that may or may not be available on the sales web site.

Check the other "base configs". At least one should be custom configurable.
I'm sure you can get it with various SSDs.

Thank you to Fireberd for giving me a better understanding of the forum. I did initially submit my question to 'us_sales@dell.com' ; guess I need to try again. . .
