XPS 8940, HDD caddy?
Bought XPS 8940 and found that there is only one 2.5" HDD caddy. I am installing two HDDs. Where and how can I get one more? I called Tech Support who said I can buy from Dell Sales, and gave me a phone number. I then called Sales, she told me Dell does not sell it. I searched and searched on the web but not in success. There are similar parts, which I bought some. But dimensions are wrong because they were for other Dell PCs.

Ask @DELL-Chris M that model is not one I recommend buying due to the proprietary power supply.
EDIT looks more like YHNFX CN-0YHNFX

Haha,
They replied, surprisingly. But the answer is very stupid. I thought it was an escalation path, but not. The message says "we do not have technical expertise. Kindly visit (URL) Dell support".
I told in the memo that the tech support never worked. Nevertheless,,,

They really said that? You should ask them what do they have.

Yes, it's beyond getting angly, and very funny.
Here is the copy of the response:
They are always there for us! Hahaha.
Berore this, I gave four calls, namely, support, tech support, sales, and HQ main number. The last one resulted in a call back from sales again.
All of them were helpless. So, I gave up. Relying to Dell support is a waste of time.
I will make the carrier by myself. DIY of bending and cutting plastic is a sort of easy business. While Speedstep's second suggestion was the right answer, the eBay guy does not ship to Japan.

I too only got one caddy and frustrating run-around from Dell. The "Solution" in this thread is NOT A SOLUTION. Telling someone to buy something from eBay that's actually for a different model and may or may not fit is hardly a solution. DELL needs to solve this. In a different topic's thread about cooling, I saw someone's photo of their machine (a non-SE 8940) and it had BOTH caddys!
Dell's web site says it can hold two 3.5" HDDs, but without the second caddy, you cannot add two.
Dell's web site has a photo and a video of the inside, and in both you can clearly see both caddys.
Why is Dell short-changing their customers?
I have a 13 year old XPS 730x that not only came with caddys for all 4 HDD slots, it came with power and SATA cables run to those slots as well as to all the front bays (it has three 5.25" and one or two 3/5" front bays as well as the HDD bays). It's also built like a tank, well cooled (more fans than my new one), has lights inside when you open the door, and came with an app that lets you configure the fans. Before that 730x, I had a much older XPS, and it too came with everything you'd need to expand. In comparison, my new shiny 8940 is an embarrassment to the XPS label.

TYPO: I meant to say two 2.5" drives/caddys, not 3.5".

I contacted Dell today and was able to order the 2.5” caddy for $9.99; excluding tax. Shipping was free. The part number they gave me was YHNFX. This is a LOT cheaper than buying off the eBay scalpers.
