Drivers for new XPS 15 9500 laptop(2020) with Linux
Dear all,
I want to install Linux on new XPS 15 9500 (2020) . When I look in the drivers section of the Dell website I see a lot of support and drivers for Windows, however I cannot seem to find any drivers for running on Linux/ubuntu? Does this mean that there is no Linux support ?

Dell does not support Linux on these -- correct. That's not to say it won't work, but you're on your own.

I've never compiled the kernel before...if I do these instructions, will I be able to just get the next OS update from Ubuntu, or will I have to go through this process again?

Hi
for wifi and bluetooth support, please install linux-oem-20.04b kernel (available from Ubuntu repositories), it is based on 5.10 linux kernel.
This doesn't resolve sleep and resume issues, though. I have to shutdown completely my laptop everytime.
