When will Windows 11 roll out for supported laptops?
When can we expect the update to Windows 11 for laptops that appear on the list of computers that Dell has tested and approved for the update?

I'm quite keen to get the update, but I don't want to update too soon and get too many early version bugs. It looks like there are some problems with Killer WiFi at the moment (Warning: Windows 11 issues could slow down your internet | TechRadar), hopefully a fix is in the works.
Is Dell going to give us a release schedule, or do we have to wait and see?

Microsoft will give it to you when you are on its schedule. If you want it sooner, download the Media Creation Tool, create a USB install disk, and update it when ever you want. If Dell has verified that your computer is compatible then they have nothing further to do with it.

What model laptop do you have???
You could do a fresh install now using the W11 media creation tool.

I have successfully installed a fresh W11on an E7450 i5-5300U TPM 1.2
Less than an hour to install and run W11 updates.

Good idea. I might wait for a little while while some of the early release bugs are squashed.

I have an XPS 13 9305 I bought in July. The day after Windows 11 was publicly released, I manually upgraded Windows 10 to that version using Microsoft's Upgrade Assistant tool. No fuss, it all took less than 30 mins with no issues of any type. Okay, this is on a laptop that isn't my primary computer so doesn't have a lot of apps installed. But since then, I've not experienced anything weird at all, it all just works.
No fiddling with USB drives, creating boot disk, downloading ISOs, etc. If you don't want to wait for Windows 11 to appear in Windows Update, this is an easy way to get the upgrade.
I would add that my primary machine is an XPS 8930 tower I bought in 2018 that's also running Windows 11. That machine is fully loaded with all sorts of apps. But nary a problem since July when it started with beta versions.

Windows 11 is due out later in 2021 and will be delivered over several months. The rollout of the upgrade to Windows 10 devices already in use today will begin in 2022 through the first half of that year.

I did an upgrade not a clean install. I wanted to see how seamless and/or easy it was to do that given that most people are likely to do an upgrade.
It was very straightforward, and all done in less than 30 mins. All the Dell apps installed with Windows 10 remained and everything just works. Quite impressed.

I've been staring for months at this:
In addition, I've seen that my Dell XPS 7390 (purchased January 2020) is on Dell's list for the upgrade, but when!?!?!?!
As for the issues with the Killer app, well that's been crashing on my Windows 10 for the past 2 months, so there's that (smh).

Remember that is purely up to MS. They are rolling this out in phases and should be complete by mid 2022. However you can install Windows 11 now by one of two methods at this web page. Either choose Windows Installation Assistant which is the update method. Or choose the 2nd option which is the media creation tool for Windows 11 and can be used for a clean install or updating from Windows 10.

dell should be sued for not supporting windows 11 updates on certain 3 yr old xps laptops
