how to enable hyper threading on dimension 8400 ??
I own a dell dimension 8400 pentium 4 3.0GHz. 530 with HT technology, with an intel 925x chipset. Running windows XP. It has an option in the bios setup to select Hyper Threading technology, but I can't seem to enable it when I select it in the bios, it won't change from the off position, is there any reason for this ? I thought since I owned a computer with HT technology and had the right chipset installed and was running windows XP that I would be able to enable HT technology ? so what's the story here ? can I or can't I enable it.?
