RAID1 partitioning
I have taken delivery of a new Vostro desktop which is configured with a single C: partition and a RAID array with RAID1 for mirroring. I wish to partition the HDD into three partitions as follows: C; = Systems partition; D;= Data partition; E: = Virtual machine partition. Will the fact that I have a RAID array cause any problems in partitioning? If I partition the HDD will the RAID disk be partitioned automatically, or do I have to partition the RAID drive separately and, if so, how do I do it? Also, will partitioning the HDD in this way affect the Dell warranty in any way?
Thanks for any help and advice you can give.
