Tracktion, ASIO drivers and Software Wavetable Synth Woes

Hi from a first time poster and new 9100 owner,

I am trying to use Mackie Tracktion V1.6, when I installed it, all the outputs sounded crackly. I changed the sample frequency from 44.1khz to 48khz, everything sounded sweet. (this puzzles me, why don't the samples speed up? They do in Cubasis VST, but that's another story).

Anyway, I installed the latest version of ASIO4ALL which says it can resample on the fly, BUT, it disabled all the outputs, something to do with the Wavetable synthesiser. However I can't seem to be able to disable this on its own with the hardware device manager, all the audio is disabled as well. Is this possible?

I'm not using ASIO for latency issued, everything seems to work pretty much spot on using the DirectSound drivers at 48khz (there's a MIDI recording delay but I can shift the track back no probs) I just can't help feeling I'm storing up problems for the future by doing everything at 48khz.

Has anyone managed to sort this out?

Cheers, Ady
