I'm successfully using 8 gig of pc2-6400 in my latitude D830 (bios a15) with vista business 64 bit  and the intel GM965 chipset, yet I can't get my inspiron 1525 (bios a17) past 6 gig with the intel 965GM chipset. Does anyone know if these are the same chipsets? I've noticed that the 965GM in the 1525 is called 'express' .  Any ideas are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
