Hello

 

I have an inspiron 1300, roughly 18 months old. It will not switch on at all - no lights even flicker either with adapter or battery.

Battery is charged and adapter is throwing out 19V.

For a couple of days it didn't start and then out of the blue just did - foolishly I thought nothing of it. Now though it just does nothing.

I am thinking it must be a mechanical fault, but if it was the DC jack I would still expect the battery to work.

Could it be the actual on/off switch or the entire power board?

 

Any advice appreciated before I start lugging it around repair shops.
