I'm a grad student (i.e., poor) looking to purching something in the range of Inspiron 6000 or 2200, or Latidude 505.  Refurbished units seems to give the most bang for the buck...but I bet threre's an increased risk, right?  Any advise on new vs. refurbished?

 

Also, will mainly use for word processing, database managment/analysis, power point, basic internet (e.g., e-mail).  Can I get bye with the celeron M, and save a couple hundred $$ ?
