I'm sorry to post a new message about this problem. I've read lots of messages regarding the blank screen in this laptop.

 

I've tried all possibles solutions described: update drivers, update bios, underclock de video clock, restore full windows vista and even installing ubuntu. No luck! Currently, only a blank screen appears before the dell logo...

 

This is a bad design problem, and it seems that the problems is the motherboard.

 

My questions are:

 

1) Does the motherboard update from v1.0 to v4.0, really solve the problem?

2) My problem showed up when the warranty was over. It's a matter of empyrical fact, that the problem is a BAD design of the computer from DELL. Nothing to do with windows or whatever other stuff. What is dell doing aobut it? I guess I will have to pay for a repair because of their incompetence.
