Powerconnect 3048 issue!
Hello there,
I hope someone out there might be able to help me.
We've got an interesting issue with 2 stacked Dell powerconnect 3048 switches.
When I do a back-up over the network, or stress the network with high volume data transfers on another way, 2 of our servers lose network connectivity all of a sudden...
The only thing I have to do to connect them back to the network, is disable and enable the network adapter on the server.
The servers are running Windows 2000 server, and network connectivity is provided by a 3com3c905 nic (tried various 3com drivers).
Ip addresses are static, one of 2 servers is a windows 2000 domain controler/Exchange server, and the other one is a member server and used as a fileserver.
The powerconnect switches are running the latest firmware.
I already disabled spanning tree and experimented with some adapter settings but that doesn't seem to help.
The only thing that worked like it should is when I connected the 2 servers to the old 3com powerstack III switch and connected this switch to our powerconnect switches.
Any suggestions, anyone?
Gr,
Held
