After two weeks today they told me I could install service and it stopped at  "Need Netowrk Interface Card (NIc) for DSL service....This is a 4 yr old desktop   do I need names/model numbers when I go out to buy and exactly what do I buy???   And while the answer is probably on this forum somewhere I am feeling under pressure to accomplish this today.    Is this the only thing I need to get?  I've read words like router,  cables,     Just push me inthe right direction  and while I know it can be done  tell me if I am bothering with something too old and should be considering a wireless laptop soon.

 

What information do you need from me to tell me what I should be picking up  and where the best place to shop is..I have access to almost all   Staples, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Comp USA...
