I've got the exact same problem.  I have other devices connected to my wireless no problem but every time I shut my laptop down it won't reconnect to the wireless when restarted.  The technician tried to charge me as he said it was a problem with my registry being too full and blocking access to the ports which I think is rubbish.  Be interested to hear what others say.
