Does the Vostro 1700 with 2 HHDs have RAID support?

In BIOS there is no setting for RAID drive mode, i can only select ATA or AHCI. So at boot the screen to enter Intel Matrix Storage Manager option ROM (with Ctrl+I) where i could create a RAID volume does not appear.
I'm i missing something or the Vostro 1700 doesn't have RAID support at all. If so it's a real nonsense to put 2HDDs in a leptop in my opinion.
