It looks like Microsoft really didn't think it out too well...and it appears the change from the obvious and ease of use started in Windows 7 to some extent. If my next computer comes with W8 I will try to give it a shot, but might end up buying a copy of W7. Or start to give serious thought to go with Apple. I don't game and my computer uses are simple and straight foward. I have no use for those fancy phones with all the bells and whistles, although I know that is direction it is all going.
