I'm having extreme difficulty in starting up my Dimension 8100 comp. When I start up the computer (Windows ME) I get an error message just after the SETUP screen telling me that Windows was unable to update the file "%1 %2" The message is repeated several hundred times before telling me that Windows was unable to update this file, and telling me that Windows may be unable to start or run properly. This stage takes 10 minutes, after which it tells me that if the computer fails to start, run SETUP again, but after pressing any key as instructed Windows loads normally. This occured for the first time to this extent as soon as I re-booted my PC since installing M$ Flight Simulator 2004 ACOF, but before that I received this message only one at a time and it didn't stop ME loading, or affect system performance. I have run Scandisk Standard test and found no errors on Drive C. Any suggestions? I'm reluctant to shut down my computer again, in case it refuses to start completely, so any information is appreciated.
